November Update

November Update!

Hello Butterfly House Friends,

I pray each of you and your families are safe and well!

This has been an amazing year for The Butterfly House. We celebrated our fifth year of establishing our ministry on May 16th, 2021. And due to your prayers and sacrificial giving, we remain in the fight against modern day slavery!

I am excited to share the home in North Carolina is ministering to ladies who have been rescued from horrific abuse. I spoke with a former resident, who has graduated to a host home. She is now employed as a department store manager, has bought a car and is continuing her education. What an amazing praise report! This success is because of your generosity.

In April, 2021 our beautiful home nestled in the Shenandoah Valley opened for rescued residents. Unfortunately, our home was compromised and we had to vacate in August. Good news one lady was relocated, however, the two applicants from California and Massachusetts we were unable to assist.

When we left the home our hearts were broken, however, the Holy Spirit reminded of 2 Corinthians 4:8, “We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair;”. Good news, as soon as, we relocated back to Virginia Beach, we were invited by ENJEWEL  (EQUALITY n JUSTICE EVERY WOMAN EVER LAND) to collaborate. ENJEWEL is an incredible organization founded by Naomi Estaris. Their goal is to eradicate modern slavery through education and supporting safe homes throughout the United States and internationally. Our goal is to create the first tiny home village in the Hampton Roads area. This “village” will be established for ladies who are prepared to begin independent living in a safe environment. Women who still need emotional and physical healing.

It has always been the Butterfly House goal for every lady to be healed, come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. To fulfill their God given purpose and to become admirable and respectful citizens. Please join us as we move forward to make this vision a reality.

As I review this year, I am excited about the faithfulness of the LORD and His divine protection. I am grateful The Butterfly House was able to give Grace Bible Camp beautiful furniture, as well as, furnish eight bedrooms for inner city boys and girls. We were also able to provide for rescued traffic victims in the Philippines, Nigeria, Uganda, Israel and several Hampton Roads shelters. We are certainly about our Father’s business and walking in obedience to Matthew 25:35-40. I pray each of you and your families will be abundantly blessed as we enter this season Thanksgiving and Christmas!

In His Service,
