Hello friends!
I am very pleased to share with you what an exciting day we had at our second annual Virginia Beach Boardwalk Fundraiser on May 6th!
We began our walk around 10:30 am with about 60 friends from Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk and Virginia Beach.
Many people on the boardwalk were interested in the literature we were sharing about sex trafficking of vulnerable minors in the Hampton Roads area; and our desire to build a safe home for them, once they have been rescued from captivity!
We had visitors come to our table and purchase T-shirts and our lovely butterfly bracelets!
There was a host of people who joined us in prayer before the walk began. I am very grateful for the team work of our volunteers and would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to:
Gayle Schultz, Stephanie Buehler, Ruben Soliman, Mary Jo Freer, Debbie Auth, Kevin Swann, Robert Smith and Sarah Beveridge.
We had teachers from a Suffolk middle school and students from Salem High School join us in the walk! A young adult bible study group from Colosse Baptist Church in Suffolk Virginia also joined us!
We had a grand and exciting time!
The Lord is still blessing us with donations with some coming in from Australia, Maryland and Washington D. C.! Please continue to help us in our effort to build a safe home for minors rescued from sex trafficking!
Thank you for your generous donations and prayers. Blessings to each and every one of you!
In His Service,
Char Miller
