Hello Butterfly House friends. As I sit here gazing out of my living room window watching these beautiful snowflakes; I am reminded how God created each one with a different pattern! There are no two alike, just like these precious girls! Each young girl has a different past and a distinct destiny. God has created each one, as an individual, to glorify Him and to fulfill their life purpose. I appreciate each of you, who has given financially and sacrificed time to pray!
I am excited to announce, we will celebrate our 3rd annual walk on May 5th, at the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, at 2nd Street, from 10am to 12pm. You can go on line and order your t-shirt and this will cover your registration fee. We are asking each walker to print out a support letter and bring their donation money on May 5th in a sealed envelope with the support letter completed. If you have any questions, please call the butterfly House at 757-839-9932.
I am enclosing a prayer from a Butterfly House friend, she gave me her permission to share the prayer. I was in such awe, by her compassion and love for each girl. Please continue to pray for us, I am daily praying Psalm 90:17.
“Father this morning as I enter your courts I worship and praise you. I know you have placed a burden upon the heart of my sister for these young girls and you know the plans you have to rescue them and the role she plays. Open wide the doors that she must enter and make clear each path there. You know everything that is needed to accomplish the things you have placed in her heart and who is needed to bring all to fruition. Today Lord we honor you for allowing us to be your hands and feet and we offer all we have to you …Father you hear the cries of these children and your heart breaks for them… give us the wisdom to know how to do the work that is needed to help them. Free them physically from their captives and place a hedge of protection about them and all who endeavor to accomplish your plans for them. Cause chance meetings and divine encounters to occurs even this day Lord that will move forward all the things you desire for the Butterfly house and those who work so diligently to bring it to life. In your precious and holy name Jesus we ask this.”
I am excited to introduce you to the treasurer of the Butterfly House, Kathleen Kimball. I met Kathleen when I spoke at the Great Bridge Woman’s Club. As chair person of the International outreach, she invited me to speak about the need of the Butterfly House in the Hampton Roads community. Having a degree in accounting we were excited when she accepted the position as treasurer.
I am also excited to introduce Beverly Gurganus, a wonderful and compassionate woman who has painted a beautiful collection of girls called, “Children of the King”. These paintings will be available on March 30th. A percentage of the proceeds will go to the Butterfly House. Please visit Beverly’s web site at: beverlygurganus.com
I look forward to seeing you on our walk on May 5th. May the Lord continue to bless each of you with His amazing presence!
In His service,
